In general, I am interested in relationships-- people to people, people to tools, tools to work, and all combinations thereof. This is what tends to catch my eye. I relish the opportunity to return to the same scene and the same people over a period of time, building trust, and accumulating a set of pictures that reflects the mood I felt in that space.
Jazz Age: The Walker West Music Academy provides a laboratory for children encountering music for the first time. Most of these images were made during a summer music camp at the St. Paul music school.
Hard Rock: A documentation of Minneapolis sculptor Zoran Mojsilov and the noisy, heavy work of art.
Earth, Hands, Heart: A season on Gardens of Eagan Organic Farm in Farmington, Minnesota.
Reverie: A cumulation of photos from several projects documenting faith, community and transition. Represented are images from Our Savior's Lutheran Church (Minneapolis), a Sunni Muslim community (Richfield), Llamada Final (Minneapolis), and St. Panteleimon Russian Orthodox Church (Minneapolis).
Waltz: Images of the Christopher Watson Dance Company in the development of their performance, "Waltz."
